A high-voltage distribution cabinet refers to an electrical product used in the power system for power generation, transmission, distribution, power conversion and consumption, which plays roles such as switching, controlling or protecting, with a voltage level ranging from 3.6kV to 550kV. It mainly includes several major categories such as high-voltage circuit breakers, high-voltage disconnectors and grounding switches, high-voltage load switches, high-voltage automatic reclosers and sectionalizers, high-voltage operating mechanisms, high-voltage explosion-proof distribution devices and high-voltage switch cabinets. The high-voltage switch manufacturing industry is an important part of the power transmission and transformation equipment manufacturing industry, and holds a very significant position in the entire power industry.
Function
The distribution cabinet has functions such as overhead incoming and outgoing lines, cable incoming and outgoing lines, and busbar interconnections.
Classification
According to the circuit breaker
According to the installation method of circuit breakers, they can be classified as withdrawable type (cabinet-type) and fixed type.
(1) Withdrawable or drawer-type (denoted by Y): This indicates that the main electrical components (such as circuit breakers) in the cabinet are installed on a withdrawable drawer. Due to the excellent interchangeability of the drawer-type cabinets, the reliability of power supply can be significantly improved. Common types of drawers include: isolation drawer, metering drawer, circuit breaker drawer, PT drawer, capacitor drawer, and distribution transformer drawer, for example, KYN28A-12.
(2) Fixed type (denoted by G): This indicates that all the electrical components inside the cabinet (such as circuit breakers or load switches, etc.) are installed in a fixed manner. Fixed-type switch cabinets are relatively simple and cost-effective. Examples include XGN2-10 and GG-1A.
By location
It is classified as indoor or outdoor based on the installation location.
(1) For indoor use (denoted by N); indicates that it can only be installed and used indoors, such as switch cabinets like KYN28A-12;
(2) For outdoor use (denoted by W); indicates that it can be installed and used outdoors, such as XLW type switch cabinets.
